lsdo_geo

Geometry parametrization.

Version 1.0

lsdo_geo parameterizes shapes for multidisciplinary design optimization using free-form deformation and B-spline sectional methods, with analytic derivatives through CSDL. It projects aerodynamic and structural meshes onto the geometry, and builds on lsdo_function_spaces. The lab's geometry parameterization and geometric non-interference research extend these capabilities for aircraft and robotic configurations.

A lift-plus-cruise configuration illustrates differentiable geometry updates that preserve intended component relationships during design changes. [1]
